About me

I am a dedicated psychologist specializing in kids' and teen's mental health, focusing on boosting emotional well- being and cognitive development. Through brain- based strategies and supportive guidance, I help young minds strenghten resilience, build confidence and unlock their full potential. Based on my knowledge, experience and intuition, I tailor an individual program for each patient, supporting their cognitive, emotional or social development. I support parents in facing parenting challenges, difficult child behaviors, preschool adaptation, potty training, and more. I help them understand the challenging behaviors of their child or teenager, explain what ADHD is, and the challenges it brings to the entire family. At the same time, I provide effective strategies to alleviate its symptoms.

I completed 5-year psychological studies, followed by postgraduate psycholo. I have obtained international, certified therapeutic qualifications of the Feuerstein Method - Instrumental Enrichment. I am also a licensed practitioner of the Kid's Skills method, which is embedded in the trend of Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Having earned the title of Social Skills Trainer, I conduct classes for children who struggle with such difficulties. I have completed numerous courses that help parents and teenagers communicate better, bringing real changes to family life.

About therapy

Therapy of cognitive difficulties (including learning difficulties) using Professor Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment method. It is intended for children over 7 years of age, classes are held individually or in a small group, once a week.

IE therapy has been known in Europe for several decades, it is a method of working on difficulties in the field of cognitive functioning. It's author- Professor Feuerstein, who, returning to Israel after World War II, looked after a huge group of children, Holocaust survivors, who experienced a powerful trauma. His mission was to bring them back to society. Prof. Feuerstein thus created a method focused not so much on learning but on activating the cognitive potential.

The basic principle of the INSTRUMENTAL ENRICHMENT method is: all people, regardless of age, difficulties or socioeconomic status, have the ability to significantly improve their learning processes.

Therapy

Who is this method for?

The method is addressed to people diagnosed with:

  • ADD
  • ADHD
  • dyslexia
  • development
  • dyscalculia
  • reduced intellectual performance
  • generalized learning difficulties
  • inharmonious intellectual development
  • these activities can also be used to stimulate the development of a gifted child

INSTRUMENTAL ENRICHMENT (IE) is a therapy that stimulates cognitive processes. The rules of thinking that are practiced with the child in tasks are to be transferred to various school situations and those encountered in everyday life. Therefore, the program is much more than a table-based memory exercise. IE does not involve teaching any specific material that can be easily forgotten. In the classroom, children learn to build strategies for solving tasks and problems more effectively. The program influences the child as a whole by shaping thinking and intelligence. They gain independence in thinking, develop the ability to evaluate critically, understand logical relationships better, and are able to develop new solutions. The child knows which learning strategies are most beneficial for him. The use of the method improves cognitive functioning and teaches how to learn.

INSTRUMENTAL ENRICHMENT is based on the principle of mediation. What can children expect from therapy? Lots of inquisitive questions and as much time as needed, and a therapist acting as a tutor. You don't tell your child what to do, just keep asking questions. If he has a job to do, I am not telling you to read the command. I say, “where do you think you should start? And why there? How do you know?" I keep asking, and even if the child gives the right answers, I ask for justification. The method allows you to show your child that thinking is fun, that it's a key to solve problems, that learning is a fantastic adventure.

INSTRUMENTAL ENRICHMENT therapy may only be used by certified therapists https://www.icelp.info/
